We Are Women

I am woman, hear me roar

In numbers too big to ignore

And I know too much

to go back an' pretend

'Cause I've heard it all before

And I've been down there on the floor

No one's ever gonna keep me down again

[Lyrics from “I am Women” Helen Reddy]

Women are resourceful its what makes them survivors, it’s what makes them excellent mothers, its what helps them to build unshakeable relationships, it helps them collaborate and cooperate looking at many alternatives and choosing the one that best shapes the human heart.

Women are what they are today because of this, their strength is in compassion in caring and the understanding that opening yourself up makes you more whole as a person. As we pass through another international women’s day and forward through 2021 what we need to have echoing in our minds is the understanding of respect and how it empowers, encapsulates the plight of women in modern society. There is no greater value that you can place on a person than to respect them, you can dislike them, disagree with them even not love them but respect is the fundamental antidote for human dignity. By having respect, you are saying no more, no more violence, no more objectification, no more intolerance and no more abuse of power.

Women now is your time to shine and for society to enable you to shine as brightly as possible. We have still a long way to go but at metamorphosis projects we believe that with your help a women’s life even in crisis can be that much better can be that much more beautiful and that much brighter. Every Soap that is purchased makes a massive difference to the cause of women because by doing this you are not only making a difference to women that are victims of domestic abuse, you are making a statement of respect. What women require more than a shoulder to cry on is a shoulder to lift them up, to elevate them so they no longer have to rise, they are risen and free to be whatever they choose.

Oh yes I am wise

But it's wisdom born of pain

Yes, I've paid the price

But look how much I gained

If I have to, I can do anything

I am strong (strong)

I am invincible (invincible)

I am woman

[Lyrics from “I am Women” Helen Reddy]
